The Pledge of Independence yet to be completed
Yes, we are the largest democracy in the world, and with a great principle of UNITY IN DIVERSITY. We are so diverse that we have mountains, rivers, plains, and also coastal areas, we have islands such as Andaman and Nicobar which are the heavens on the earth. We have urban as well as culture motivated rural areas and we have many known languages in our country that make everyone feel special and part of this integral part of INDIA that we call from history BHARAT.
We got the independence on 15 august 1947 with a view of the development of every citizen and respect of every religion, we were separated by the Britisher in the name of religion and that's the true unlucky story of our land’s partition and becoming of Pakistan.
Our first prime minister Shree PANDIT JAWAR LAL NEHRU and a population of 36.1 crores citizen adhered to the supreme law of the country "THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA", we took an oath that we will live together under the heaven called INDIA. With the welcoming speech of 15 august 1947 “A tryst with destiny” Pandit Nehru greeted every citizen of India Independence and he appreciated the struggle of every Indian who took part in the freedom struggle and lost his or her life. In that historic speech, it had it all – soaring rhetoric, a shrewd understanding of the power of language (English in this case), and a sweeping sense that this was a speech for the ages and His words showed that we were entering in the new era and we have to make ourselves strong to face the consequences of development.
Nehru began, “we made a tryst with destiny; and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.”
A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new - when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India, and her people, and to the still larger cause of humanity.”
The speech was written by Pandit Ji himself, and he had huge support from the peoples of India. The meaning of his historic speech is: ”long years ago, Indians came together to fight against the British to achieve freedom, and now is the time when we shall redeem a pledge for the development and unity. and the pledge that had been taken is yet to be fulfilled, it is yet to be completed but not all at once but substantially and gradually. With the new day, India is going to enter into the new era of Fraternity and after this night India with its citizens is free to make its own decisions and ready to face the consequences which come in the path of development. When the world will awake it will find the new India which is Free and the world has to be ready to deal with the great new nation.
Now the moment has come, that comes with the destiny and struggle and one of the remarkable moment of the world’s history. When India will step forward towards his achieved a new era of freedom, with the abolition of the dominance era, Now India adheres to its own rules with its own representatives, which was suppressed by the stranger powers to find its way to freedom. Now we are taking the pledge to serve for the people of India and to serve our honesty towards India and one day we will achieve a tag of a great nation in the world with the help of all citizens ”
We are developing with our brothers and sisters and we are keen to make India a great nation. In this journey, we have to face situations like Riots, Intolerance of other religious people, Economic crises, corrupted media houses, corrupted government officials, and heinous crimes, which pull the nation backward but we have to be strong and intelligent to make our path toward greatness.
